Diabetes Care in Bahrain?
Does anyone have any information regarding diabetes care (insulin dependant) in/around Manama? I will not have medical coverage and want to know how much medications (such as insulin and test strips for blood glucose monitors) cost?
Also, is there any insurance plan that would cover this, if so please provide a name/contact.

Well, I cannot help you with prices but I can tell you where to go. Also, I can help you with insurance companies.
The best hospital for diabetic patients is “Joslin Diabetes Center”, it is in Manama just behind Salmaniya Medical Center. They are currently the best in Bahrain. There is another one which is new and it is called Al-Mahroos Diabetes Hospital and it is located in Manama just opposite to the American Embassy, on the main road.
As for Insurance companies, I am sure all accept diabetic patients. I have been dealing with 2 companies in the last 5 years, and they both accept individuals with diabetes. They are:
