Health Risks Diabetes
If you feed junkfood to a 3yr old who had a liver transplant last yr. What are the health risks she faces.?

I would like to know what my niece may have to deal with. Diabetes is also a factor since it runs in our family though she doesnt have it but i kinow she can someday so please tell me the health issues other than obesiety and diabetes those are the obvious health risks seen straight off the bat but is there anything else.
When i say junkfood i mean all kinds of sodas and diet coke at times and surgary foods and candies, she hardly ever has any vegitables or fruits.

You are correct about obesity and diabetes. Obesity itself can lead to type 2 diabetes and heart and circulatory diseases. Risks from too many soda drinks contributes to obesity and may lead to osteoporosis. Since nutrition is important to recovery (see source below) I don’t understand why, as part of the medical process and follow-up of the operation, a proper diet wasn’t discussed. Good nutrition should be part of any child’s everyday life, let alone with someone with such an extensive and dangerous surgery.
